In the fileecho settings in the older versions, you'd need to set Use FDB (add
the files natively into the file bases) or Use FBBS (which adds a FILES.BBS
into the file area for addition by a utility)

What's the version you have -- 6.00g24? I've given up on the 6.X series, went
back to Allfix 5.13. It works well, so far. 6.X would hang with little
explanation, and inconsistently - it would work for weeks, then crash and stop
working, then work after a couple of reboots.
