BA> BK> There was Thanksgiving, and there will be New Years. Both of
BA> BK> which have their advantages. Seems I will be working almost
BA> BK> every holiday next year. A rather pleasant prospect. I will work the
BA> BK> same days as always, do the same work, and get a lot more money for
BA> BK> it.

BA>I pretty much ignore the holidays - except for the food. Been that way the
BA>past 45 years or so. When I was working I did volunteer to work, and someti
BA>work extra, so that others in the shop (who *didn't* ignore the holidays) co
BA>have the time off.

I also pretty wel ignore Holidays. Including Birthdays and "Silly"
Family Traditions.
Took a while for hte Wife to get used to that but I simply told her
that one should try for the "Holiday Spirit" 365 DAYS per year.
Adn as far as gifts if I find a need or inclination I do it and don't
hold off for some really meaningless day.
