Replying to a message of Bob Klahn to Sean Dennis: TR>>> Something tells me the democrats aren't going to hold power in the TR>>> House and Senate for very much longer. SD>> From what I've read, Republicans are starting to win seats SD>> all over the US while the Democrats are losing (a good SD>> example is how Saxby Chambliss won here in Georgia). BK> Uh... Chamblis was the incumbent. The democrats are the ones BK> picking up seats. I see that Minnesota's senate seat is still up in the air. I'm no fan of Al Franken and I think that most of the votes he's received are votes *against* Norm Coleman, not *for* Al Franken. Sort of a referendum on Mr. Coleman's popularity - just as the people of Missouri voted a dead man into the senate rather than return John Ashcroft to the position in 2000. --- FleetStreet 1.19+* Origin: Bob's Boneyard, Emerson, Iowa (1:300/3) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 18/200 34/999 90/1 120/228 123/500 140/1 226/0 236/150 249/303 SEEN-BY: 250/306 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1410 1418 266/1413 280/1027 SEEN-BY: 633/260 267 712/848 800/432 2222/700 2320/100 105 200 2905/0 @PATH: 300/3 14/5 140/1 261/38 633/260 267 |
