Actually, much as it pains me, apparently Bush would have won even under a
total recount. Numerous independent counters (while all having different
numbers) came to the same conclusion. Doesn't make me any happier, and I
still feel the Supreme Court hijacked the process, but hard to argue with
the numerous recounts (some from avowed anti-Bush sources).

I'm just hoping that some of the 49% (popular vote) have had second thoughts

and that someone comes along in the Democratic camp who has a spine, and the
guts to step forward and lead
