Hello all.  I've got a Rad Shack Pro-35 h\h scanner.  It is a few years old
but is in excellent condition but I've just experienced my first problem with
it.  It now does not turn on at all.  I get no sound or display whatsoever.
The last time it worked was a few days ago and what I got was the display
worked fine but when receiving a transmission the audio would drop out, like
a skip, every 1-2 seconds.  Then, after turning off\on the radio again it
just produced a very quiet almost clicking noise. Then, nothing.  That's
where it's at now.  Nothing.
Does anyone know what might be the problem and a remedy?  Does this radio
have an internal battery to keep the settings?  I can't find one though all I
did was open both sides of the unit but didn't delve to farther into it.
Any help is really appreciated.
