Jim, the class was not offered as an Anthropology class, but under a "Chicano
Studies" course curriculum. It was a "special topics" class, in that major.
The instructor was trying to develop a Native American Studies curriculum,
but health and administration problems have forced him to look elsewhere.
Sadly, now there is a Native American Studies section, with courses drawn
rom
other course programs on campus that are taught from a Native American
perspective.
