The summer movie season is upon us...

"X-2: Attack of the Clones" (or whatever it's called) had its
premiere last night in Hollywood, with most of the stars in attendance.

"Access Hollywood" covered it, of course, and there was all of
the usual chatter. Kelly Hu (pronounced "Hue") is one of the
villains in the new movie, and she has a decent fight scene with Wolverine,
from what I've seen... at the premiere, she said that Hugh Jackman (who
plays "Wolverine") was an "Australian pussy", because
he seemed to be holding back during the fight scenes. Jackman says she kept
taunting him, trying to get him to fight harder... and when he finally did,
he ended up missing his mark and hitting her in the tit, the hip, and
"someplace I'd rather not mention", according to Hu.

Hu barely seems to be making a noise in movies - her big break was in
"The Scorpion King" - but she's been on television for years...
born in Hawaii, she complains about the prejudices found in Hollywood, that
because she's of Asian descent, everyone expects her to be a big martial
artist. She finally did start learning Karate - she's a brown belt now - on
the set of the CBS series "Nash Bridges" in the 90's and also on
the later CBS series "Martial Law", where she received some good
solid training from a martial arts master, Sammo Hung Bo.

Very much out of the closet Scottish star Alan Cummings - who plays
"Nightcrawler" in "X-2" - showed up at the premiere in
a blue-green kilt, with a
wide belt that had "Nightcrawler" spelled out along it in either
studs or rhinestones. He says that co-star Rebecca Romijn-Stamos
("Mystique") has a very nice butt, and adds that if he could
morph into anybody, it would be her... so he could shag her husband.


Other summer stunners are upon us... in just two weeks, "The Matrix
Reloaded" hits the big screen. There's a fairly decent article in the
latest Newsweek - as
well as information about other summer flicks - and several interviews with
the Matrix stars. Carrie-Anne Moss (who plays "Trinity") says
this is the absolute last kung fu movie she's ever doing... while she had
lots of fun making the movie, she always seems to end up injured - during
their first week on the set, she broke her leg doing wire work.

Laurence Fishburne ("Morpheus") enjoys his role, and doesn't seem
to mind that a
lot of people identify him with Morpheus now. He also says that as part of
the character background that he made up for Morpheus, he thinks that
Morpheus was a
barber before he was awoken from the Matrix... with dreams of slitting
customer's throats.


Naked in Hollywood... not that unusual, but it's got a different twist this
summer. In "T3: Rise of the Machines", European model/actor
Kristanna Loken plays the evil Terminator, and just as in the other two
Terminator movies, when they time-travel back to the past, they do so
naked... in Loken's case, this meant that she ended up walking down Rodeo
Drive in Beverly Hills in the nude. She says she can't go down that street
any more and look at it the same way... .
