Sure. The .22 LR CBs are simply downloaded .22 LRs, and have the same
profile as a standard .22. OTOH, the .22 short CBs wouldn't load into the
magazine properly, just as regular .22 shorts, so of course they can't
feed at all.
The only .22 LR CBs I see from a quick check of the catalogs are
Remingtons, and are not cheap. The other brands seem to only come in
shorts, and so won't even feed in a detachable-magazine bolt action such
as the Marlin 25N.
