GG> Hello Jerry.
GG> I'm new here. Please excuse my stupid question, but we (in former
GG> USSR) are measuring thickness of acoustic cables in square milimiters.
GG> Can You explain relation between square milimiters and gauges?
GG> What does it mean wire of 16 gauge, for example?
1. Nope
2. the smaller gauge wire the heaver it is. I don't know why it is that
way but it is.
GG> And BTW, what is maximal permittable resistance of cables from
GG> amplifier to loudspeaker? Is it related to amplifier power/loudspeakers
GG> resistance?
I really don't know but if I am running 8 ohm speakers I sure wouldn't let
it get less or more than 10 to 15%.
Wish I could help you but I am sure that there are people that know
ALOT more than I do.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help to you.
