PH>With a 8250 or 16450 UART he'd be lucky to properly support a V32 modem, PH>let alone V34 or V34+ modem! running under DOS 6.1, DV 2.42, 1 node 12k, 1 node 14.4k using 16450 UART chips, good transfer rates on both modems (on a 386dx40 with 4 meg of ram) very few, if any errors on uploads or downloads. you wanna have a rethink now :) cya later, Paul. ...
