Well let us say that the price of an apple is 1.
If you place in your code :
#DEFINE APPLE_PRICE 1
You could place in your code for exemple :
? "The price for 10 apples is : "
?? APPLE_PRICE*10
When clipper will compile your programm, each time it will see APPLE_PRICE, 
it will replace it with 1.
This is a great advantage because you can write programs that are easier 
understandable.
