I had a decent speaker system, when I was doing my single, and the power
eter
showed that I was running the main amp at 125 watts. I changed speaker
ystems
which included 18 inch woffers and the usual tweeters and midrange speakers.
I had a friend that had a noise generator who came to one of the clubs I was
playing at and setup his equiptment including a scope so he copuld get really
pickie. He added diferent caps and when he was done I checker my main power
meter that night at the same club and same size crowd and to my amazement
the meter showed that instead of 125 watts I was running at "25" watts and
the
management asked me to "TURN DOWN". So, your sure right...having efficiency
in
the speaker system meant everything. It seemed that the 400 + RMS amp
could run forever and never get warm.
BG> Using a 350watt per channel amp on a speaker system that was rated at

Yep...I know what you mean. When I switched to the biger amp it seemed that
everything was really clear with allmost no distortion.
Have good day...
