I guess "chow-chow" is a sort of catchall title. The ones I have seen are
made with green tomatoes as a base.

Try Canada, Ruth! :) It's amazing how a few weeks on either end of the
eason
extend the growing season. My sister even sees a difference between
Westborough
and Cape Cod. The Cape plants are earlier.
