 Hi

I have been watching this discussion about Zmodem and telnet. I have
never tried to telnet in DOS as you are doing but have done a lot of
 telnet in windows.

Telnet was first created to remotely operate a computer and file
transfer was not a consideration or an after thought.

In the windows environment there are a lot of different telnet clients.
Most of them do a fair to good job of zmodem on downloading but few
will do a good job of zmodem uploading and a lot of them will not do it
at all or so poorly that most of the time they fail. I have to assume
that it is the same in DOS.

For more on DOS telnetting contact Craig Healy at Chowdanet. At one
time he was using somesort of utility that allowed him to telnet with
 Telix for DOS.
