Please tell me how to go about this, as I have a friend who has one which he
can't get to work under Windoze 95. If we can get it to work, then he may
get it repaired so that it works, (if you know what I mean, do you?) :-)

It IS software dependent! Try to update your video drivers.

Hit head on keyboard, to jiggle UART. Seriously! Just press ESC or RETURN a
couple of times, to try to jog the BBS or your UART. Sometimes, on Windoze
systems, single characters can get left behind due to a defective
implementation in the serial driver.
