JP> Sorry to be such a bother. Did you read my post to Dan C.?
I think I did.
JP> I still can not keep the message Read-Replied-Saved-Printed
JP> attributes toggled to"ON" in a packet. Would you have any
other recipe
JP> ? Am I howling at the wrong moon ? Is there another command in the
JP> Setup that I ought to look at ?
Luckily I have a couple of renamed BWAVE386.EXE & BWAVE386.CFG files
so I can swap and run multiple Bluewaves at once.
When you rename the CFG, you have to use a hex editer and change the
name inside the EXE also, so it won't go after the original CFG and
mess up the settings in it.
Anyway:
Setup/Configure Mail Reader
Global
Mail Packet Options
Packet list sort field Root Name
Display archiver output Yes
Pack replies at reader exit No
Open reply warning at startup Yes
Build QWK index files Always
Automatic bulletin display No
Automatic packet rename Yes
Option menu at packet close No
+-- Auto save pkt bookmarks Yes
I think your setup has that last line set to "No".
"Pack replies at reader exit" is set to "No" so they
"Pack" at
Packet exit.
If you have a couple of different BBS packets to read, the reply
packet for each will Pack when its' message packet is exited,
rather then waiting until you Exit BlueWave.
Each BBS has its' own reply packet.
As before, do an "F1" on each line to get a detailed explanation.
How are you EXITing from BlueWave ?
If you are using Alt-X, switch to the Esc key.
Is your ZIP compression done by ZIP.EXE or PKZIP.EXE ?
Archivers
ZIP Compression C:\BWAVE\BWPACK.BAT {at}F {at}I
_Nothing_ between BAT and {at}F (except a single spacebar)
The {at}F {at}I are required, the %1 %2 inside the BAT reference them.
