         Sometimes people do say things like that, but AFAIC it makes sense to use countable nouns in agreement under many... if not most... circumstances in which I see no obvious reason for trying to improve the language.

         I'll dare to remark that there is a traditional folk song recorded by Jimmie Rodgers & others which asks "How many kinds of sweet flowers grow in an English country garden?"  As I've noticed before WRT folk songs the wording is variable.  In this case the grammatical structure apparently isn't.  And I see the same pattern when I look up "all kinds of" in THE FREE DICTIONARY....  :-)
