Subject: law-related employment
I am a blind law student who has just completed my second
year of law school. Unfortunately, my motivation and grades
are going down rather than up the further I progress. Having come to
law school after a long career as a newspaper reporter, I like legal re
research much less than interviewing people and writing things
less formalized than briefs. I don't mean I want to go back to newspaper
newspaper work but I am beginning to feel like I'm in law school
primarily because I have nothing else to do. What I'm
wondering about are types of work where partial legal training would not
not have been wasted and where finishing law school at night while working
would
be possible if the job motivated me to do so but would not be required.
A non-lawyer advocate job in protection and advocacy is one idea
but I'd appreciate any others anyone might have. Part of what
I'm trying to accomplish is to get out of Little Rock asap so
I need any information I can get about jobs elsewhere.
Thanks in advance.
