Hi Libby,
KK> Yes, it was good to have Kurt figure out what the problem was but the
KK> sysop still didn't want to acknowledge on his end so we couldn't get
KK> on and when we could get on; we couldn't read the messages as they
I can sympathise. When we had the Commodore, one local sysop insisted
that all the problems we has came from that, not HIS board. Steve
proved him wrong different times, not that he ever admitted to it.
That's why, when we got this set up, we poited off of somebody else.
KK> Best of luck to the kids. They're both young and at this age they can
KK> travel and see the world...if that's what they want to do. I'm sure
 KK> you'll miss Rachel.
I will miss her but I know it had to come. If she had gone to the
college she wanted to (in New York State), I would have "lost" her a
year sooner.  She would have stayed with family up there for holidays;
we couldn't afford to fly her home very often.
KK> Yes, I am afraid of thunder. When I was a kid; I lived in Seattle, WA
KK> Sometimes I went to my mom and dad's room because I was afraid but the
KK> walk from my room to theirs was frightening at times. I was 9 years
I'll jump at unexpected booms but for the most part it doesn't bother
me. I guess it's from growing up in an area where the booms are echoed
by mountains. Here, we can see the storms build up better and take care
of electronics ahead of time.
 KK> 15 days!!! Yippee!! I bet you're so excited!!!
Down to 8 now. (VBG) Yesterday at church I handed one man the
attendance book for his Sunday School class & he just asked "how many
hours?" Since I don't have a flight time yet (in a couple of days I
will), I just had to tell him the days.
KK> Oops...got my kids mixed up!!! Sorry...
It's normal; they're the same sex, not too far apart in age and look
very much alike, not that you've seen them (yet).
KK> Yes, you do owe it to yourself to check out Crafters Express. You'll
KK> be impressed with some of the great stuff in there. Right now I have
KK> just a few sewing related stamps; two different quilt blocks and a
KK> stitched heart. I will be ordering from PSX in a few months and will
 KK> add some others.
OK. I have a few but am always interested in more. I'm also collecting
sewing related minis and unusual sewing related things. I've got a
couple of Polish spool holders I got in Germany. What are the general
hours of the place?
KK> Make sure you take plenty of pictures of the dresses as I'd love to
KK> see them. I'm sure that you're going to be more than happy that you
KK> have one pattern for all the dresses instead of several patterns and
 KK> too many
 KK> pieces.
I will get lots of pictures; my dad used to do wedding photography for a
suppliment to his newspaper income so he will make sure lots of pictures
are shot. (Especially since the dresses will be done by me.) I am glad
Rachel picked this pattern; we got it in several different sizes so I'm
sticking with one size at a time for the dresses. Got an extra one of
her size so I could cut up ther others and not have to worry about
taping them together again. I was having problems figuring out the
sleeve from the instructions and their (lousy) picture; set it aside and
tarted playing with the pieces of tissue. Viola! It came clear; now I
know what to do on all of it and will get them done quickly.
KK> Take care of yourself. No speeding with the serger.
Aw, you're taking away my fun! I thought it stayed pretty steady on the
cabinet; then I was serging real fast the other day. It tried walking
away from me! I'm going to get an anti static mat for the sewing
machine I think; the dry weather makes more static electicity and I
don't want to blow a circuit board!
Catch you later,
Ruth
