Since I am unfamiliar with your version of Windows:
Look to see if the shortcut has a place to list the "working
directory/folder".
That would probably take care of the problem.

Or if you could get the loading folder/file to do the equivalent of:

C:
CD\BWAVE
BWAVE.EXE

That should rectify the problem.

JP> Now here is another question. Where can I set the BW to remember the

JP> Read-Saved-Printed-Deleted. If I come back to a packet, they are all

The instructions are in the BWAVE???.DOC file (mine is BWAVE386.DOC).
I use Buerg's LIST program to read it, but any text editor will work.
The document is already formated to print at 59 lines per page, and
has 42 pages (21 if you use both sides).

It is a one-document covers all, so there is stuff for the 386 and
OS/2 versions also.
Plus outdated info, since it is so old.

The "attributes" are kept in data files in the message packet.
The problems you have been having have been keeping revisions from
being reZIPed into the message packet when you exit BlueWave.

BlueWave hasn't been saving them for the same reason as all the other
problems: it couldn't find its' "folder".

In BlueWave go to:
Main Menu: Setup/Configure Mail Reader
Directories (Folders)

Hi-lite each line and press F1 to see what it does.

This is an example of mine:

Download Directory C:\RBW\
Upload Directory C:\SND\
Work Directory C:\BW\WORK\
Reply Directory C:\BW\REPLY\
Data Directory C:\BW\DATA\
Swap Directory P:\TMP\ (Ramdrive)

That final backslash is required.

My terminal program downloads to C:\REC but occasionally I forget
about the message packet, so I made a seperate BlueWave directory
to move it into.

JP> It is now due time that I say thanks to you for helping me this much.
JP> I might have mentioned a meek "thankyou" before, now is a whole
JP> heartfelt one. THANKS Bruce !
