How so?  That strip from Virginia to central New York is beautiful: rolling
hills and the best climate in the country with real seasons (but without
extremes of cold like the midwest, heat like the south, rain like the
northwest or dry like the southwest).  If I could choose the perfect place
it'd be right in the middle of that strip, in the hills beside the Ramapos,
preferably in a 250-year-old farmhouse with a pond for swimming and ice
skating.
