subject: cone thread

Hi Nancy,
rh> For the most part, cone thread is acceptable for use in regular sewing.
NB> Thanks for the info, Ruth. I have the adaptor, and name brand cone
NB> thread, but have never gotten enough nerve up to try it. Perhaps I
 NB> will now!
And how long have you had it? (G) I tried mine out within a week or so
after getting it but due to moving and wrist surgery, it was put aside
for (too long) a time. When I really got back into sewing (summer of
94) I pulled it out and started using it again. I also stocked up when
House of Fabrics went out of business here last year, with the less
expensive brands.
One of the other ladies at church is helping another June bride (besides
Rachel) with her dresses and was talking with me tonight about thread
for her serger. She was going to put in an order to Atlanta Tread &
Supply for some things. I reccommended she try the Mettler thread and
that some colors are available locally. She had never thought about
that one but was interested to hear about the quality.
Catch you later,
Ruth
