subject: Gasoline price in your co

ML> MP> In the part of Kentucky that I live in, the gas folks watch
ML> MP> the news, and when high prices like that get mentioned, they
ML> MP> raise theirs up to match. We've been paying close to that
ML> MP> lately. I think it is 2.45-2.49 today.

ML>ya know? the problem i have with all this gas price inflation is that they
ML>raise the price of the gas and the truck hasn't even been by and brought the
ML>more costly gas yet! how can they raise the price of the gas that is already
ML>their tanks?!?

YOU go outside and put New Numbers up. IT is that simple. And since, In
the United States at least , we have a Free Market the vendor is FREE
to charge what he wants. OF curse when he raises it up a litle to ofar
Volume drops and he has to drop pit down a littel. In the old days they
used to measure volume sold per week and make small adustments. today
most ot the Major Brands to it with Computers. And as I said i nanother
post ARCO makes price adjustments negihborhood by neighborhood. SO the
guy down the road cold pay 5 cents MORe per gallon at an aRCO station
then I do even the Gas comes form the SAm Refinery and could have been
delivered by the same Tanker Truck to the station.
THAT is the Amercian WAY and I for one would NEVER trade it for any
other way.
