Answering msg from Paul Edwards to rowan_crowe, on Sunday October 15 1995 at 23:56 r>> MoonRock has similar syntax to BASIC but is internally more elegant r>> and simple (and fast). r>> If anyone's interested: r>> moon014 zip 201,595 r>> Available for FREQ from 3:635/727. Includes compiler, docs (ha) and r>> sample programs. PE> Now also available from 3:711/934 under the same name. Ah, good. I wasn't sure if you received the file in its entirety, as FD didn't actually log which file was sent or even *if* it was sent. I knew which file you *wanted* because it logged the FREQ, at least. PE> BTW, the stuff is copyrighted, but there is nothing that says PE> it may be distributed. You might want to do something about PE> that, otherwise no-one is to know it is any different to PE> Microsoft Quickbasic. BFN. Paul. Good point. It's freely distributable, this series anyway. A newer version written in native MoonRock is being developed, that will be shareware and possibly a commercial/pro version too. As always I welcome people to use the earlier freeware versions with absolutely no obligations (and I'll still support them too). What sort of wording do you suggest I use? BTW, I may be able to sweet talk (heh) Bob Snowdon into feeding the MOONROCK file area up to Sydney, via the return path that PDOMAIN comes. BTW2, reckon I should also put disclaimers at the top of the sample programs? Here's what MickeySoft say: ' Copyright (C) 1982-1992 Microsoft Corporation ' ' You have a royalty-free right to use, modify, reproduce ' and distribute the sample applications and toolkits provided with ' Visual Basic for MS-DOS (and/or any modified version) ' in any way you find useful, provided that you agree that ' Microsoft has no warranty, obligations or liability for ' any of the sample applications or toolkits. ---* Origin: Jelly-Bean software development.
