Hallo,

we have an application with DBASE tables. As long as the application runs
under Novell 3.11 with microsoft client for netware networks there's no
problem. 
If I install the same application under Novell 4.11 with novell's 32 bit
client there are some serious database problems: 

1. Index files get lost or corrupted
2. Sometimes there's even a read-error on the dbf-file when I try to
rebuild the index

3. Non empty records are posted as empty records into a table
(the problem seems to happen when executing the Table.Post command)

4. (3) causes a additional problem: when accessing a table with empty
records there may be an error 'translate error - value out of bounds',
especially for DateTime Fields

My questions are:

1. Are there known problems with the BDE  and Novell 4.11 / 32 bit client?
2. How can we cure these problems ?
3. Does anybody have experiences with the BDE under other clients /
networks? Has anybody encountered similar problems?
