With global warming it might be more accurate in the near future.  When I
was a kid I thought October was late for it but it seems more appropriate
now.  Mind you it has totally lost it's original meaning and function.  No?

It used to be worse.  I haven't bothered with it since moving out here
seeing there aren't any kids around here at that time of year.  Quite a few
up the road to the north of here but they tend to stick to their local
neighbourhood which is probably just as well.  Works for me.  :-)
