I have been asked to become Chapter advisor. We just went
through a merger and our old lodge was not really using the Chapter
system, so having been in another lodge that had very active chapters, I
think I can give some guidance. I have enjoyed being Scoutmaster, but
there have been times recently where it has been too trying. I think,
for now, that the OA position would be a good change of pace. I will
not give up the position as Scoutmaster just yet, but will see how it
goes with both positions.

I have to admit that I have seen evidence of this also. Having
not had the chance to go to Woodbadge yet, I will not be too critical of
it. But there are certain traits of a good scoutmaster that you can't
learn in any training session.
