My best with AOL local no. is 26400, (if I'm able to log on!)
AOL'S 510-xxx-xxxx x2 # does great! No busy sig's either.
 MF> USROBOTICS BBS BEFORE:24000 AFTER:28800
USR prior to x2 was between 24000 & 26400, with x2, now 44K.
 MF> PLEASANT BBS BEFORE:28800 AFTER:26400
 MF> JACK's BBS BEFORE 26400 AFTER:24000
Am glad to see the local performances improve, Mike.

Well, that's a great opener there! Yes, a Courier just might do
better, yet with fickle lines/connections everywhere, there are
still no guarantees. All I can say is, I've owned this Courier VE
for a long while, and it has -NEVER- upset me or let me down in
any way, it sits atop my midtower and never shuts off!
I'm trying out an interesting ISP called ZorroNet, based in Sac. CA
916-648-1283Bus; 916-648-3936Fax. Uses nothing but USR x2modems.
$89/yr, unlimited access; local access no. here in Fresno and else-
where. Take care, Mike! jimcole@zorro.net
