Well, I'm still quite a ways off in that regard.  I'm not even
sure that's the route I'm going to take.  Eventually, though, my
choices seem to narrow down to 1) using Linux and Max/DOS under
dosemu, or 2) going direct to a Linux based BBS, like rocat.

Hmmm, I wasn't aware of that.  (I'm currently using Bink/DOS
v2.60, so that might constitute uncharted ground.)

It occurs to me that interested parties should maintain notes
and contribute to a FAQ to help the next guy in line.
