Subject: business loan programme
Fellow Federationists and friends,
Early this evening Mary and i were talking witha local blind woman who
wants to start her own travel agency.  It is my understanding that the NFB
operates, or once operated a programme to provide low interest loans to
blind persons wishing to start their own businesses.  I remember that we
started it in about 1986.  In fact, I was at the convention whare the
resolution was passed to creatte this programme.  While Iknow that our
low-interest loan programme for blind persons wanting to perchase adaptive
technology is going strong I wonder if any of you know the status of our
business loan programme; if it is still operating, who adminnisters it,
and so on.  Thanks for your answers in advance.
