CM> Something's definitely wrong here--the postal service has
CM> been very good in delivering the mail on a nationwide basis.
That's been my experience with everyone else.
CM> Just wondering: have you complained to the bank directly,
CM> then contacted the main VISA office to lodge a complaint?
CM> Associates National Bank is giving VISA a bad reputation with
CM> all this garbage.
I'm doing this now.
CM> Don't let me spend your time & money for you, but you could
CM> send them the payment via "registered?" letter that documents
CM> who and when accepted the letter (I don't know the exact
Certified Mail, return reciept requested showing date and time of delivery.
CM> terms to use here), and then take them to Small Claims Court
CM> and also report them to the Post Office and authorities in
CM> your State.
I've filled out some forms at the post office, customer satisfaction reports,
which usually get the PO to track delivery times to and from. We'll see.
CM> Waldenbooks store or their Waldenbooks 1-800 ordering system.
CM> They credit my account promptly when I pay them, and I'd like
CM> to recommend them to you.
I actually have other better cards, one of which is even issued by Fleet
which doesn't have the best reputation. But I've found them to be fair, and
to correct mistakes eventually. The best recourse I have against Associates
is to simply cut their card in half, and to send it express mail to the
president of Amoco Oil Company, not the bank, to indicate my dissatisfaction
with the bank they choose to do business with.
CM> Hope this helps and Happy Holidays!
