Greetings all-I have been lurking here for several weeks enjoying this
area.
I am an old-time Atari 8-bit user (bought a 400 new for $400 too many years
ago) but I must confess that my 8 bit systems have been gathering dust due to
lack of space and this confounded MS-Dos/Windoze machine.
    The point of this message-I have an 850 interface, and several 800xls with
256k.  What type of modem can I use with this-fastest baud workable and
preferred brands, if any.  Also, are there any especially good terminal
programs for the 8 bit.
    Who knows, with some encouragement, I will get those systems fired up
again.
