Hi Hakan,
LH> Also want to ask if there is a y2k patch for Max 2.02 and squish
LH> 1.11? Will that cover the OLR as well? Am I
LH> going to have to upgrade
LH> to Max3.01 to solve y2k problems?
HK> Upgrading to Max 3 doesn't solve your y2k problems but
HK> it isn't hard to upgrade to Max 3 from 2 at all. I

I was around, but didn't want to change the current program. I like
using Mecca. My system works well. The only things I would change would
be the ability to have separate control files for the message areas, local,
national & international. I also want a way to post general messages
to all callers and have not really been able to do that.
HK> Max 3 solved some problems I had but it seems that I

HK> can't remember what were they.
HK> By the way, Maximus is inactive during the doors. If
HK> they crash, the problem is not with the maximus.
HK> Probably a door of fossil setting is problematic. In
HK> which door this happens, I may manage to duplicate it
HK> if you give some more information. If I can manage,
HK> than probably work on it too.
This is the line from my autoexec.bat file and with the current modem, I
BNU /L:2=57600,8N1
had to use com 3. It would not work with com2 which I had used before
with my other modem. I don't have any other things in other com ports as
this is a bare bones DOS - only system. All the trivia games, etc. are set
to work with the BNU, not internal systems. When I changed modems and
rechecked all games to make sure the com port matched whereever it was
specified.
Someone else told me that the flashing F on the status line was flow control
and I have RTS/CTS plus XON set in Max.ctl.
TTYL
