Ok, after extensive investigation, I think the problem is caused
by a nodelist entry of 38400 (if you have a look at the nodelist,
you'll find that no system is listed as > 9600).
RM> Not exactly life-threatening, just thought you'd like to know.
Yes, I would like to see it fixed.
RM> While I'm at it, why does it say "M'Task: T-View" when I'm running
RM> *D*esqview??
T-View is an alternative multitasking method to Desqview, from
observation of the code. Binkley checks for T-View or Turbo Vision
or whatever it stands for, before checking for Desqview. It gets a
match on TV, so chooses that.
You have the source code, and you have borland, and the code compiles
with Borland. Can you recompile the entire thing under Borland, and
then use that, to see if it still works. If it does, then can you
make the following change:
In line 142 of nodeproc.c, change 300 to 300UL.
I expect that this will fix the problem without you having to change
your baudrate, but it's only a theory at this stage. I haven't even
attempted to run Binkley under DOS to see if the problem is
reproducible here. BFN. Paul.
P.S. where x = that strange number above...
2**32 - x = y
65536 - y = 38400.
z = 38400/300
z * 300 = -(65536-38400)
(unsigned long)-(65536-38400) = x.
