What is a compliant hinge?
Are compliant hinges useful for mirror cells? Are compliant hinges easy to make?
What is hysteresis, and what does it have to do with mirror cells? What are
the pro's and con's of RTV bonding a mirror to a cell versus retaining
clips and slings?
Is it important to design a mirror cell that allows rapid cooling of the mirror?

"Have Plop's cell designs been tested?"

In the field my sixteen inch, pyrex, 1.5 inch thick mirror is RTV glued to
a six point support. PLOP predicted it would be 'good enough.' So far
nobody in four years has seen sign that the mirror cell is spoiling the
mirror's figure.

In the field my ten inch, pyrex, 1.3 inch thick mirror is RTV glued to a
four point support. PLOP predicted it would be 'good enough.' So far
nobody in five years has seen sign that the mirror cell is spoiling the
mirror's figure.
