Subject: Someone Elses Star by Bryan White
Lot's of thank's to Greg Groner who sent me this one. I just wrote out
the lyrics and made it look good. I'm a big fan of this guy and I don't
think that he get's enough credit for his faster songs. All I ever here
is that he's a ballad singer. If anyone has some music for some of his
faster songs or wants to work together to figure out songs e-mail
me fidlerk@mail-it.fanshawec.on.ca

CHORDS: "Rebecca Lynn" by Bryan White
Written by Skip Ewing
Rebecca Lynn
G D C Am
Rebecca Lynn, grew up in Carolina
C D G
Half a mile from Tucker Cherry's farm
D C Am
A quiet girl, with green eyes full of fire
C D G
Her daddy's pride and all her mama's joy
D C Am
Rebecca Lynn, became my heart's desire
C D G
Long about the start of second grade
D C
Mrs. Rosenbloom let me sit beside her
Am D G D
So we passed notes and after school we played
G Em C D G
Singin'Ring around the rosy, pocket full of dreams and posies
Em C D
Patty cake a-baker's man, tag you're it and kick the can
G Em C D
I think I hear my mama callin', gotta go
G
Man I loved her so
High school days, me and Becky learnin'
What it really means to be in love
Give and take, holdin' back for heaven's sake
Fightin' for a week then makin' up
I said, "Please, Becky won't you marry me?"
Prom night in my car out by the curb
She was so surprised, first she laughed and then she cried
And somewhere in my heart I'm sure I heard
Ring around the rosy, pocket full of dreams and posies
Patty cake a-baker's man, tag you're it and kick the can
Mama flashed the porch light for me, gotta go
Man I loved her so
Bridge:
When love is wrong it dies, and that's the way it goes
But when it's right, you know love grows
Laura Jean born in Tennessee
That's a common little miracle I know
But for me and Becky Lynn, she's the dream that started when we
Fell in love so many years ago
Singin' Ring around the rosy, pocket full of dreams and posies
Patty cake a-baker's man, tag you're it and kick the can
I think I hear your mama callin', gotta go
Man I loved her so
NOTES:
*There is a key change after the first chorus (it goes up to A) but I could
never sing it that high, so I've left everything in the key of G, which is
enough of a stretch as it is!
*Please let me know of any corrections!
*Also, let me know of any other songs you'd like the chords to...I enjoy the
challenge of figuring them out!
