Hi All. Lets get down to business...
Recently enquired about buying a yacht. She's a 27-foot wooden vessel built
primarily for use on the Norfolk Broads (this echo seems mostly USA based, so
if anyone is unaware of this, the Broads are one of the best inland waterway
networks in the UK). However, as these boats are designed with holiday hire
n
mind, they lack many basic features of seagoing yachts. I sat down with my
en
and paper to design an electrical system, featuring navigation and riding
lights, deck halogens with remote-control (rather like a car-alarm, means
finding the boat in the dark is very straightforward), hi-fi system with CD
player and multi-speaker crossover, and a two-battery system with windmill
charger for 12V.
Has anyone else ever been brave enough to attempt this? I'm wondering if
anyone
has any handy hints which might prevent me from electrifying the entire river
network!!
Have fun...
