Hi Phil,

PR> -=[ Quoting Linda Hargraves to Alan Ianson ]=-

LH> Do you know if Ansichat will work with 3.01? The main reason I

PR> If Ansichat is a generic door, it should work OK. I'm

PR> will run just about any door, although you may have to

PR> get some doors to work right.

Thanks. I don't know much about it, the person I got the files from had
it and there were no instructions.

LH> I have a file listed, called Al.zip but it seems to have a problem
LH> listing all the areas I have (only 29). I tried Allfix and had a
LH> version that worked, but the one I have now, 4.41 seems to have a
LH> problem and can't find my file list area.

PR> That's exactly what I use. Did you do an FCOMP? (FCOMP 22 c:\max)

That's part of the problem, it would NOT do an fcomp. It gave me some
message about not finding a file it needed, but there is no way to get that
file made.

LH> What about DLC, download counter program, will it still work?
PR> If it's for FILES.BBS, it should work OK. Max's
 PR> FILES.BBS structure is pretty
PR> much generic unless you force it into multi-line mode with utilities such
 PR> as Maxlist.

I only have a single node system, so there should not be a problem. I
have encountered a problem but I think it is with FrontDoor, not max. I
will only mention it to see if you or anyone can offer some help. All my
setups for file requesting is as it should be, but for some reason it is
refusing to allow file requests, saying that the person is below the baud
limit. I did a double check and had it set so that 1200 was the minimal
baud to do a f'req.
I checked the logs and the person was connected at 31200, but still could
not get any files. Anything weird will happen to me.

   TTYL
       Linda
