That's what may make it all that much more tragic.

Many of these women I met were very "undead" :-)  They
were intelligent, well traveled, and often very social
but not useful for a long term relationship.

But in a way, they were dead.  Many complained to me,
as a friend, that they were incredibly unhappy that
they weren't being appreciated as a woman.  My wife
says that women who don't get sexual satisfaction
or have children go hysterical.  I'm not going to try
to change her opinion. :-)
