Hi All,

I've looked into using PVC piping for a Newt tube. The product that I
looked at would be more aptly called "drain-pipe".  It is approx.
12" diam and 10mm wall thickness (for 8" mirror). It seemed quite
strong, but I remember thinking at the time that that it might need some
help with internal support - altho not a full blown truss structure.
