RT>Bad news. I just found rather a lengthy message elsewhere to
RT>the effect that the gateway between FidoNet and Internet is
RT>shutting down. Reasons given include abuses by former (and
RT>presumably disgruntled) Sysops, and people subscribing to
RT>large mailing lists, which was not the original purpose of
RT>the gateway.
RT>There is a genuine possibility that the Fidonet domain
RT>address may itself disappear as a result.
RT>At this point, I'd suggest you abandon the effort to so
RT>communicate, and shop for a local Internet provider. (sigh).
It seems the general hostility level seems to creep ever upward. It is onely
a personal opinion, but I think all the indicators (malitia movement,
"random" acts of violence by angry individuals, mass layoffs, etc.) point to
the US crossing the destabilization threshold shortly before the next
election. What a &^*$%#@ mess.
I need to tell you there was a slight error in the database postings
you related. At the end of RB-FOIA.ASC "in his own case file -- in the Board
of Social Services" should read "in the folder containing his complaint
against a psychologist filed with the Board of Examiners in Psychology" or
something equivalent.
Are you aware of the possible hearings on criminal conduct by child
abuse "expert" by the House Subcommittee on Crime and Criminal Justice? If
not I I will post what I have. I received the info from the FMS
ganization.
I have done some more analysis on the Crime Victims Reparation Board
data. Twelve child abuse accusation mills (8% of all therapy service
claimants) received 63% of therapy service payments, nearly $200,000. This
may be sufficient to start some criminal investigations. There is no
reasonable way of dealing with these people. A few hundred of them are going
to have to be sent to prison before the rest of them "get it."
