Tom, at 22:15 on Oct 11 1996, you wrote to Bill Grimsley...

Unfortunately, the 33k6 KTX I have here has not been able to connect at
better than 28k8 with Dave's Courier, even though my Courier can manage it
most of the time (albeit asymmetrical), but as it's only a local call, who
cares?

Agreed.

You can easily hack the *.inf file you're using to include S0=0 in it's
init$ (or better still, write it to NVRAM yourself).

TP> A couple of questions I forgot to ask:

TP> Where can I find KTX Win95 info file and does it have any

As the KTX is in fact a rebadged GVC, I presume the *.inf files are much
the same, although I don't know where to obtain one which covers 31k2 &
33k6 connects, and I'm not au fait enough with Win95 to know whether it
matters anyway (I use a DOS comms app under Win95, so it's irrelevant to
me).

TP> Does this modem have any diagnostic report like some other
TP> Rockwells?

Doesn't look like it. %Q returns ERROR, while %L simply returns OK.

TP> BTW, why David's I)nterrogate Modem doesn't report S/N
TP> ratio? I know it would be S/N seen by his modem but it could

I agree, but I have no idea why it's not being reported either.

TP> Thanks for the other info!

My pleasure.

Regards, Bill
