You are in much better place than when we tried NT with Maximus. :) BNU
just crashed the system.

I had a friend over here who managed to run Maximus with NT but alas,
similar to you, his comm port was getting locked after each Maximus exit
and only a system shutdown and reboot was unlocking it. Later, his power
supply fan broke and he is now unable to use his computer more than half an
hour. :) I wonder if he's changed the supply. :)) Alas, I cannot remember
which fossil driver he uses.
