It depends what "older version" you are using. I am using Maximus
3.01 here and it handles years of 2000 and over ok as far as expiry dates
are concerned, however if you type the date in, you need to use 100 for
2000, 101 as 2001. That is, use the numbers 98, 99, 100, 101, etc for 1998,
1999, 2000, 2001, etc... I understand a Y2K upgrade is planned for all
Lanius products to resolve these issues, however I dont know what versions
are likely to be covered. 

The one area that is not yet guaranteed is the Offline Reader, it seems the
OLR "standard" may have flaws in its design for handling Y2K.
