Peter, at 13:41 on Oct 13 1996, you wrote to All... PP> 2. If I was to upgrade, and my budget runs to $300 max, what PP> modem or modems should I consider. To date I have read about PP> the KTX 33.6 Fax Modems, and about the new Spirit (?)Dragon PP> 33.6 External Fax Modem. The latter is about $100 more PP> expensive. Is one better than the other? Even as a long-term USR advocate, I have to say that at around $170, it's pretty hard to fault the KTX modems if all you want to do is connect reliably with your BBS or ISP as a normal user. Dunno that I'd use one on a BBS, but for general use, they're rather hard to beat at that price, IMO.
