Hello Alan, AI> On my own BBS the only list for users to see or download is the AI> backbone.na file. There are echoes listed in there that I'm not connected AI> to because of lack of traffic. It's just hard to find conversation in a AI> BBS full of dead areas so I don't put them online. If I was asked to AI> connect an area I would in any case. Yes.. Makes no sense to carry them just to populate your hdd incase a visitor happens to notice. For me (now as a user), the echo activity numbers that are posted in the FIDOGAZETTE newsletter help to show what's worth checking out. You could steer your users to look at that, or you could parse the list to create a regular annoucement/bulletin of the top popular echos from that. ../|ug --- WinPoint Beta 5 (359.1)* Origin: Reluctantly Revisiting Fidonet (2:221/1.58) SEEN-BY: 201/119 203/0 221/1 6 360 261/38 280/464 5003 292/854 633/267 280 SEEN-BY: 712/620 848 886 770/1 @PATH: 221/1 280/464 712/848 633/267 |
