ò  A 20-yr old Catholic friend of the family recently told me that local
priests have been pressuring the faithful to increase the amount of money
they donate to the Church.  This is hardly surprising since I read that the
Archdiocese of Los Angeles recently paid 45 sodomized ex altar-boys
$60,000,000 to settle, and there are still c. 400 boys to settle with.
When the smoke finally clears, the amount spent to settle such lawsuits
could surpass the $195.000.000 Archbishop Mahony spent on the new L.A.
Cathedral.
