BC> What you are experiencing is the second type of error.

JP> Agreed ! My archiver line is :

 JP> C:\BWAVE\BWPACK.BAT ZIP {at}F {at}I in the 2.30 folder

Take that "ZIP" reference out of the line:

C:\BWAVE\BWPACK.BAT {at}F {at}I

It is throwing it off in 2.30

If you put a copy of PKZIP.EXE in your BWAVE folder,
then your BWPACK.BAT commands can be:

 C:\BWAVE\BWREPFIX.EXE %2
 C:\BWAVE\PKZIP -EX %1 %2

 JP> C:\BLUEWA~1\BLUEWA~1\BWPACK.BAT ZIP {at}F {at}I in the 2.12 folder.
JP> ( Do not mind the double call to BLUEWA~1, it is due to an error of
JP> many years ago and I am too lazy to rectify. It works as it is ).

JP> It does work fine in 2.12. Why will it not recognize a 2.30
JP> packing ? In case you wonder, I have in 2.30 redirected the zipping
JP> to the 2.12 line, thinking that it ought to do the work but it does
JP> not. I hope that I am not spreading my confusion to you. More reading
JP> and tweaking to be done here as 2.30 is quite nice.

The redirecting would probably have worked, except for that "ZIP"
where it didn't belong.
