The actual process of uploading to AOL's FTP space is quite cumbersome, requiring about 20 "clicks" per file. So while the occasional update is not too annoying, a "mass update" would be a PITA--come to think of it, just about as annoying as uploading files to Comcast and making them "public". ;-( Apparently, "free" services are burdened with extremely poor tools for maintaining a site, judging from my sample of two. If I could use a *real* FTP client, it would be easy. >>> btw, will the Sound Editor work on an europlus(clone)? >> Yes, it should work fine. Yes it would--kind of a constant "sustain" pedal. ;-) It's been a while since I tried reading the AKD port on a ][ or ][+. There's a possibility that it may already work that way (it gets the key value from the AKD port read). >> Or you could just use CiderPress to print out a copy >> of the program and read the help from there. ;-) > > mmm... that AppleCommander john has on the page he mentioned in the > other post looks nice for looking at apple-disks too I'm pretty addicted to "clicking", myself. It's not so handy for "make" files, but it's great for rummaging around, listing files, and printing them in a format you like. > I wonder if there are other web sites about apple2 on AOL > that now have to move or disappear... did AOL inform their users > just this month (not 3 months in advance as one normally do > for other things) or? Yes, it was short notice. In fact, I first noticed it in a "heading" on my web pages that AOL added (something else I can live without). -michael ******** Note new website URL ******** AppleCrate II: An Apple II "blade server"!
