Hello Matt, >> Since you are not going to be able to vote Paul (at least as the >> Republican) and you are not going voting for BO... why bother to vote? MM>If Libertarians get 5% they can qualify for matching funds. Declared 2012 Libertarian candidates for President - * Roger Gary * R. J. Harris * Gary Johnson * Carl Person * R. Lee Wrights Elections are not about qualifying for matching funds. Elections are about winning. Politics is about contrasts. Today, there is very little difference between the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. You could throw all the candidates into a sack, shake them up, and spit out a winner. Few people would notice the difference, or care. What does the Libertarian Party have to offer that is different from the Democratic Party and the Republican Party? Where is the contrast? Show me, if you can. Among the above mentioned Libertarian candidates for president, how do they differ from each other? What policies does each promote? Libertarians such as Ron Paul are much different than liberatarians such as Noam Chomsky. And yet, there are many similarities. Most people have no idea what libertarians stand for, except perhaps for minimalist government. Perhaps you can help explain what libertarianism is, or at least its American version. --Lee --- MesNews/1.06.00.00-gb* Origin: news://felten.yi.org (2:203/2) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 313 620 848 953 @PATH: 203/2 0 320/119 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
